postille is the legalization of documents originated in this state to use outside United States by a certificate giving a legal status in the countries of the Hague Convention.
Examples of the type of documents that can be apostilled: Power of attorney, certificates of birth, marriage, death, divorce decree, diplomas, transcripts, any notarized documents in california or signed the states officials as mentioned in the California state pages:
The California Secretary of State provides authentication of public official signatures on documents to be used outside the United States of America. The country of destination determines whether the authentication is an Apostille or Certification.
Apostilles and Certifications only certify to the authenticity of the signature of the official who signed the document, the capacity in which that official acted, and when appropriate, the identity of the seal or stamp which the document bears. The Apostille or Certification does not validate the contents of the document.
So documents we will be able to Apostille: by notaries and the following public officials and their deputies: County Clerks or Recorders, Court Administrators of the Superior Court, Executive Clerks of the Superior Court, Officers whose authority is not limited to any particular county, Executive Officers of the Superior Court, Judges of the Superior Court
State Officials.
If you have an emergency and need the documents legalize as soon as possible: We process them the same day that we receive your documents. Once apostilled we can send them same day Fedex Priority so you will have them the following day.
